Dan Ashbel is a retired Israeli Ambassador.
In 1975 Ashbel joined Israel’s diplomatic Service, and in 1978 became First Secretary for Press and Cultural Affairs at the embassy of Israel in Bonn, Germany.
in 1998 he served as a Press Counselor at the Israeli embassy to the United Kingdom in London. During that period he participated in the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference.
Ashbel was the Political Advisor to the Knesset (Israel’s Parliament). From September 2011 to April 2016 Dan Ashbel served as Israel’s Ambassador to Finland and Estonia.
