A 1948 film made by and about Jewish displaced persons at Camp Landsberg, the largest Jewish DP camp in Bavaria. The film followa a Polish Jew and his family from pre-war Warsaw through the horrors of Auschwitz to the frustrations and instability of refugee life in the DP camps, culminating in the emergence and yearning and hope for rebirth in Israel.
