Like many other Israeli women, Esty was raised to be a woman of valor. As the oldest of 12 and daughter of a Rabbi, 41-year-old Esty is fed up with the rigid expectation of women in the Ultra-Orthodox community. In an effort to save the future of her children and the generations to come, she pairs up with her friend to put up posters that call for change, see a movie in theaters for the first time, and submit a lawsuit to the Israeli Supreme Court in an attempt to stop the injustices against women. However, Esty’s mission to allow Israeli Ultra-Orthodox women to be more than the breadwinners and caretakers put her family in grave danger. What price will she be willing to pay for equality?
