A year-long leadership training program takes Ethiopian-born and Russian-born Israeli adolescents to the Jewish pockets of Ethiopia to rediscover their unique heritage. This journey forces the young Ethiopian Jews to confront memories and traditions that they left behind in the old country. The dramatic Ethiopian terrain has a tremendous impact on both the Ethiopians and the Russians, leading them to some deeply moving resolutions about themselves as individuals and as part of as a larger group.
