Three children from the West Bank are smuggled to Israel. Without a mother and a father in jail, the siblings arrive at the home of George and Rita, an Israeli Palestinian couple who live in Jaffa. George is afraid that hiding illegal aliens will ruin everything while Rita believes that the the children could give new meaning to her life. As their story is unfolds, along with an approaching storm, a British movie director is shooting a film about his parents’ love affair in 1947 when they served in the British army in nearby Palestine.
