The two reconnect only for Gadi to learn that his estranged father is in need of a kidney transplant. While he volunteers to make this donation he is rejected by the committee, since they do not believe him capable of making this decision fairly. Gadi doesn’t wish to lose the father he just gained and is prepared to fight for his right to make his own choices.
