ROCK IN THE RED ZONE is an intimate portrayal of life on the edge in the war-torn city of Sderot. Known as the "ir hamusica" (city of music) because its prolific rock scene revolutionized Israeli music despite the fact that for over thirteen years, Sderot has been the target of ongoing rocket fire from the Gaza strip. Through the personal lives and music of the city's diverse musicians, and the personal narrative of the filmmaker, this powerful documentary chronicles the city's trauma while revealing its enduring spirit.
