The filmmaker revisits the childhood of his mother, beloved children’s author Dvora Omer, whose tortuous life story left its mark on her writing and her relationships. At age 11, Dvora finds her self an orphan after her mother is found dead. Was it suicide? How could her mother leave her all alone in the world? As an adult, Dvora returns again and again to her childhood trama through the heroes in her books - which have touched generations of young people.
