Set in 1977, two Israeli sisters investigate rumors of their father’s controversial actions during WWII. Nana (Nelly Tagar) and Sephi (Joy Rieger) have always butted heads with their gruff authoritarian father (Doron Tavory). But when a shocking accusation makes them question his history as a Holocaust survivor, the sisters delve into a mystery that takes them to unexpected places. Israeli writer-director Avi Nesher (Turn Left at the End of the World, The Matchmaker) gives us another moving drama about the haunting power of the past, and the healing power of truth and forgiveness.
