Told with a blend of Israeli humor and beautiful Japanese-influenced cinematography, “A Matter of Size” sheds new light on the universal underdog story. When an unassuming dishwasher  discovers that his life-long obesity makes him an ideal sumo candidate, he recruits three equally rotund friends into the first Israeli sumo wrestling team. When faced with romantic troubles and social discrimination, Herzl (Itzik Cohen) and his friends realize that their real challenge is self-acceptance.  “A Matter of Size” was nominated in 13 categories in the Israeli Film Academy Awards, and received a dazzling reception at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
